Ferrari junior and F2 wonder kid, Charles Leclerc, has been given four FP1 outings with the Sauber team.
It is hoped that he will take the car for a spin in Malaysia, Austin, Mexico and Brazil. It is not yet known who will make way for Charles.
It was also hoped that Charles could drive in Japan, however cannot do so as it clashes with the F2 race in Jerez. However Leclerc may drive FP1 in Abu Dhabi depending on how the F2 championship folds out.
The 19 year old previously drove four FP1 sessions for Haas in 2016, driving in Britain, Germany, Hungary and Brazil.
Whilst he’s currently dominating F2, his eyes are still on a F1 seat for 2018. He is believed to be at the top of Saubers list for their 2018 driver line up, which is yet to be announced.
