Mick Schumacher to drive fathers Benneton before Belgian Grand Prix

The son of the legendary Michael Schumacher will drive his fathers championship winning car during a few demonstration laps before this weekend’s Belgian Grand Prix.

Michael Schumacher made his debut at Spa in 1991, and took his first of ninety one victories at Spa a year later.

Michael has not been seen in public following a skiing accident in 2013, having retired from Formula One (for a second time) in 2012.

To this day F1 fans show their respects to Michael, and seeing his car back on track would be a great sight.

A spokesperson for the family stated that we aren’t able to use the race winning car for the demonstration due to mechanical and insurance issues.
